Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has teamed with a Vancouver-based seafloor polymetallic nodule exploration firm to develop a new generation of onshore and offshore infrastructure, underwater robotic vehicles, and other waterborne vehicles to enable deep sea mining. By extracting metals from the ocean, the latest proposed designs will help restructure traditional battery manufacture and push it towards a net-zero-carbon future.
