When you focus on the good, the good gets better

The right kind of inspiration can always aid you in coming up with original and inventive project ideas. Inspiration for designs does not have to originate from the outer world; it can also come from our inner imaginative dream world.

Back to Classics – What is this Art?

Originating in the mid-1960s, Psychedelic Art was a graphic art form that generated visual displays influenced by the experience of psychedelic substances and hallucinations. Psychedelic art, often known as pop art, used a wide range of vibrant colours, cartoons, and animation to generate a psychedelic sensation when viewed. The creation of psychedelic art is thought to have been a direct precursor to the invention and subsequent popularity of all forms of imaginative art that exist today.

There’s another tale regarding how this image came to be. The term “psychedelic” was used to describe both music and visual art. Its growth was mostly driven by the hippie movement, peace, and curiosity in Far Eastern culture, particularly Buddhism. In 1966, a band called the 13th Floor Elevators coined the term “psychedelic music” during an interview promoting their debut album “The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators.”

What makes the art unique?

Psychedelic art is an immersive, sensory-stimulating experience that leaves you with something to remember. Fantasy imagery, kaleidoscopic and spiral patterns, ultra-bright colour, incredibly fine detail, and funky typography are all hallmarks of psychedelic art and design. To be more specific, they’re almost interchangeable when it comes to design aesthetics. Among the most recent design trends, abstract psychedelia is making a strong impression.

Funky font, rad patterns, colour gradients, and a brilliant palette, among other things, create an illusion that emphasises the design’s visual depth and serves to improve its multi-dimensional appearance. Remember that psychedelia is an experience; if you tilt your head to the side, you’ll almost certainly notice something you didn’t see before.
