The client is a printing company in Canada, leader in print on demand (POD) fulfillment, focusing on both direct to garment (DTG) and the digital printing of over 1000 apparel SKUs, sticker decals, wall posters, coffee mugs, and phone case covers. They have successfully fulfilling and shipping over 500,000 apparel items and a million sticker decals, along with a number of other print-on-demand products to its online clients’ customers Canada-wide.

Client’s Challenges

The client was in need of an AI-based solution to draw a tracing tool around stickers with a considerable border to help the cutting machine segment the stickers and use them on different apparel.

Solution

Hubino with its specialization in AI, Computer Vision owns a bunch of machine learning algorithms. We were able to come up with a solution that helped to remove noise from the raw image and remove the existing uneven border around the images if there is any. It generates borders with high levels of smoothness so that the cutting machine won’t have to cut sharp corners. It helps to merge several images into one single PDF of a fixed dimension so that the machine can cut multiple images at once.

Value Proposition

The solution helps to

· Remove noise from the raw image

· Remove the existing uneven border around the images if there is any

· Generate our own borders with high levels of smoothness so that the cutting machine won’t have to cut sharp corners

· Merge several images into one single PDF of a fixed dimension so that the machine can cut multiple images at once.
